Brandt Mabuni

Brandt Mabuni is a Research Associate at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory's Center for Global Security Research. His interests span nonproliferation and energy security issues across the Indo-Pacific, with a current focus on the role of small modular reactors and advanced reactors within nuclear statecraft and industrial policy.

As a Nonproliferation Fellow with Pacific Forum, Brandt helped organize Track II nuclear energy workshops in Southeast Asia and contributed toward research projects on regional nuclear issues. He holds a master's degree in Asian International Affairs from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, a bachelor's degree in International Business from Azusa Pacific University, and prior career experience from the financial and energy sectors.
