Federico Derby

Federico Derby is an Undergraduate Student Research Intern with the Center for Global Security Research (CGSR) at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL).

Prior to coming to CGSR, Federico contributed to an open-source satellite imagery intelligence project on North Korea’s main nuclear complexes, spearheaded by the Center for International Security and Cooperation at Stanford University. Federico is currently pursuing a B.S. in Management Science and Engineering and an Honors Thesis through the CISAC Interschool Honors Program in International Security Studies at Stanford University.

 Following his summer with LLNL, Federico will be returning to Stanford to complete his research thesis on the diverse security applications of open-source satellite imagery in the context of evolving conditions on the ground with respect to North Korea.
