Katie Thomas

Katie Thomas is the event coordinator at the Center for Global Security Research (CGSR). For over 20 years, Katie has held highly visible positions across multiple directorates at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL). She is the primary point of contact for LLNL’s Director’s Office and the lab’s internal and external community on coordinating CGSR’s events. She also serves as liaison with the Protocol Office for high-level visits and leads efforts for specialized overviews. She organizes CGSR’s lectures, workshops, brown bags, and roundtables, and coordinates content on CGSR’s website. She holds a B.S. in Technical Management with a concentration in Security Management from DeVry University, and an A.S. in Supervisory Management from Modesto Junior College.
