Mariah Horner is the Executive Assistant at the Center for Global Security Research (CGSR) at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. She started with CGSR in April 2021. Her career at LLNL began in 2014 at the West Gate Badge Office, where she served as a Security Access Specialist and later as the Team Lead from 2018-2021. Mariah provides executive-level administrative support to the CGSR Director and Deputy Director. Her focus is on managing daily calendars locally and while on travel, coordinating schedules across different time zones, multiple locations, and requiring various levels of clearances. She coordinates domestic and foreign travel with multiple agencies and several top-level offices. Mariah represents the CGSR Director to other senior management and executives, both internal and external to the lab, with a high degree of autonomy. She is currently working toward completing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business at Las Positas Community College.
