John Consolati is a Fellow at the Center for Global Security Research at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. He is also a Software Engineering Manager within the Laboratory’s Computing Directorate, where he leads a team supporting two environmental programs. His research interests at CGSR focus around how geopolitical positions and governmental organizational structures influence and enable national cybersecurity policies and capabilities.

He was a Fellow at the Bush School of Government & Public Service at Texas A&M University from 2014-2015 where he focused on space, cyber, and nuclear deterrence issues. He has also held a number of technical and leadership roles at the Laboratory since 2009 that span the software development, information technology, and cybersecurity disciplines.

John holds a BS in Business Administration/Management Information Systems and an MS in Engineering Science from University of the Pacific, and a graduate certificate in National Security Policy from Texas A&M University.
