Pat McKenna

Pat McKenna is a Senior Fellow at the Center for Global Security Research (CGSR) at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL). He is also a Senior Deterrence Analyst onsite at United States Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) for the Strategic Deterrence Directorate of LLNL. Prior to joining LLNL, he served in various roles as a civilian at USSTRATCOM culminating as a Senior Technical Advisor for nuclear strategy, policy and analytics. He participated in, co-led, or led USSTRATCOM’s contributions in all the Nuclear Posture Reviews and the development of the last three Presidential nuclear employment guidance documents. His most recent efforts have focused on the strategy, policy and capability implications of the emerging two nuclear peer environment.

Mr. Mckenna holds a BS in Industrial Engineering and Management from North Dakota State University and a MS in Industrial and Management Systems Engineering from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln.
