Isaias Fernandez

Isaias Fernandez is a research associate at the Center for Global Security Research at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL). His research focuses on pacing threats to an increasingly commercializing and competitive space domain through space deterrence. Building on his work as part of his graduate capstone project on the U.S. space domain at the request of the United States Space Force (USSF) Delta 15 Space Operations Command

Prior to joining LLNL, Isaias served as an Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education graduate intern with the Department of Energy NE-4 Office of Nuclear Fuel Cycle and Supply Chain. Developing a research tool that considers how political and industry influence can be leveraged to make strategy execution more effective for the High-Assay Low-Enriched Uranium (HALEU) Program; focused on the House and Senate appropriations subcommittees for energy and water development.

Isaias recently completed a Master's Degree in International Affairs at the Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University where he specialized in U.S. Military affairs and international conflict.
