Sara Morrell is a research associate at the Center for Global Security Research (CGSR) at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. Her research focuses on strategic culture and information operations pertaining to extended deterrence. Sara is currently a master's student in the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Her prior research examined social self-identity. She is a co-author of "Democracy and Progressive Modernity in Constructions of Community: Europe, the United States, and the Russian 'Other'" in Triangular Diplomacy among the United States, the European Union, and the Russian Federation (Palgrave Macmillan, 2018). Sara also spoke on the Information and Psychological Warfare panel at the 2019 International Studies Association Annual Convention. She holds a bachelor's degree in international affairs from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
