Casey Caruso, CGSR Research Assistant

Casey Caruso is a research assistant at the Center for Global Security Research (CGSR) at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. Her research focuses primarily on the potential security implications of emerging life science technologies in support of CGSR’s Future of Cooperative Measures.

Prior to coming to CGSR, Casey was a participant in the Keepin Nuclear Nonproliferation Summer Professional Development Program and the Cyber Fire Incident Response Summer School at Los Alamos National Laboratory. She has also held graduate assistant positions at the Graduate Initiative in Russian Studies (GIRS) and the Center on Terrorism, Extremism, and Counterterrorism (CTEC). Casey is a current master's candidate in Nonproliferation and Terrorism Studies and International Affairs at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies and Moscow State Institute of International Relations, respectively. She also holds and B.S. in Biology and a B.A. in Russian Studies from the University of Richmond.
