Rafael Loss is a Research Assistant at the Center for Global Security Research at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. He is also a non-resident nuclear scholar at the Center for Strategic and International Studies’ Project on Nuclear Issues. His research examines nuclear strategy, extended deterrence, arms control, and the effects of emerging technologies on strategic stability.
He was a Fulbright fellow at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University, where he earned a master’s degree in international relations.
He also holds a BA in political science from the University of Bremen in Germany.
