Julia Diamond

Julia Diamond is a MA candidate in the Nonproliferation and Terrorism Studies program at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey (MIIS). At MIIS she works as a Graduate Research Assistant at the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies (CNS) and the Graduate Initiative in Russian Studies (GIRS).

As a Graduate Student Research Intern at the Center for Global Security Research (CGSR), Julia supports work in the Russia, European Security, and Deterrence Thrust Area. Julia’s research focuses on hypersonic weapons and Russian military strategy.

She graduated from Boston University in 2014 with a BA in International Relations and a minor in Russian. She speaks Russian language, and lived in Moscow from 2014 to 2015, interning at the Carnegie Moscow Center and the Center for Policy Studies (PIR Center).
