Benjamin Silverstein comes to CGSR after completing his MA in international relations at Syracuse University's Maxwell School of Citizenship. As a research associate, he focuses on the intersection of emerging technology and global stability, specifically on how states leverage counterspace technologies in strategic global competitions.
Prior to CGSR, Benjamin worked in Geneva, Switzerland at UNIDIR, investigation opportunities for international arms control efforts and preparing for 2019's Group of government experts on further practical measures for the prevention of an arms race in outer space. His interest in international relations stems from his undergraduate coursework at George Washington University's Elliott School of International Affairs, where he graduated in 2014.
