Allyson Rimmer, CGSR research assistant

Allyson Rimmer is a Research Assistant at the Center for Global Security Research (CGSR) at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, where she is assisting in the Center’s work concerning nuclear monitoring and verification regimes and processes for effective, good-faith denuclearization.

Prior to CGSR, Allyson worked as a Research Intern with the Institute of Peace in Conflict Studies (IPCS) in New Delhi, and as a South Asia Intern at the Stimson Center in Washington D.C., focusing primarily on South Asian security concerns as well as both regional and global implications of international nuclear safeguard policies.

In December of 2018, she received her MA in Nonproliferation and Terrorism Studies from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey, where her coursework focused heavily on the intersection between nonproliferation and CBRN terrorism concerns. Allyson also holds a B.A. in International Relations from the University of Arizona.
