Brian Plonsky

Brian Plonsky is a Graduate Research Intern at the Center for Global Security Research (CGSR) at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL). His research at CGSR includes analyzing nuclear security issues and developing a risk-based approach in order to more effectively prioritize efforts to secure nuclear materials and facilities.

Previously, as part of the NNSA’s Next Generation Safeguards Initiative, Brian interned at LLNL researching nuclear safeguards issues and emerging nuclear programs in the Middle East.

In May 2016 Brian completed his Master of Arts in Nonproliferation and Terrorism Studies at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey. During his graduate studies, he had the opportunity work at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) as well as the Vienna Center for Disarmament and Nonproliferation.
