Justin Lee is a research associate at the Center for Global Security Research (CGSR) at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and second-year doctoral candidate at the Pardee RAND Graduate School. His research interests include organizations, political networks, expertise, and science and technology studies, with a particular focus on think tanks and policy experts. Justin's research at CGSR is focused on contextualizing Indian think tanks and policy experts within the academic literature and identifying important dynamics for US policymakers. Justin's PhD dissertation studies the relationship between networks in organizational governance of US-based think tanks and the career trajectories of their research staff. Prior to CGSR, Justin worked as an Assistant Policy Researcher at the RAND Corporation, a contracted Operations Research Analyst for OUSD P&R in the Pentagon, and a Technology Analysis Intern for Systems Planning and Analysis in Alexandria, VA. He received his B.A. in physics, political science, and international relations from Carleton College in 2019.
