Murry Smith, CGSR research associate

Murry Smith is a research associate at the Center for Global Security Research (CGSR) at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. His research focuses on civil nuclear cooperation and the potential application of business concepts to nuclear nonproliferation and disarmament research. He received his M.S. in International Affairs from the Georgia Institute of Technology's Sam Nunn School of International Affairs (December 2019).

Prior to CGSR, Murry interned at Sandia National Laboratory's Center for Global Security and Cooperation. As a M.S. student, he served as a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant to senior faculty and staff. Murry has also served as a Graduate Assistant within the Georgia Tech Athletic Association where he worked on special projects related to the College Football Playoff Committee, game day operations, and major fundraising initiatives.
