Michelle Alford

Michelle Alford is a Graduate Student Research Intern at the Center for Global Security Research (CGSR) at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. Her independent research at CGSR focuses primarily on CBRN terrorism, apocalyptic ideology, and the intersecting of the two.

She attends the Middlebury Institute of International Studies (MIIS) where she is working towards an M.A. in Nonproliferation and Terrorism Studies, while simultaneously continuing her Arabic studies.

She holds a B.A. in Political Science & International Affairs with an emphasis in the Middle East and North Africa from the University of Nevada, Reno. During her time at UNR, she specialized in translating and analyzing Arabic documents and also participated as a Cyber Intern for the Northern California Regional Intelligence Center (NCRIC).
