Lois Rosson is a Ph.D. Candidate in U.C. Berkeley's History Department. Her doctoral work focuses on the history of spaceflight in the United States, focusing on optical technologies that facilitated new pictorial views of distant space landscapes throughout the twentieth century. Her interests include contemporary aerospace, planetary science, and the negotiation of geopolitical boundaries in outer space. She was the 2018 - 2019 Guggenheim Predoctoral Fellow at the Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum and worked at NASA Ames for two years before starting her graduate program.
