Olivia Licata

Olivia Licata is a Summer Research Associate at the Center for Global Security Research at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. Her research centers on the threat that Chinese investment in critical minerals poses to US engagement and soft power in the Global South, with a specific focus on the lithium industry in Latin America.

Olivia is a rising senior at Claremont McKenna College. She is earning a dual degree in International Relations and Public Policy. Olivia interned as a research associate at Eurofound in Dublin, Ireland during the summer of 2023 and has conducted research for the Keck Center for International Studies during her time at CMC.
