An era of accelerated, scale change: implications and the critical role of the National Labs

Sept. 20, 2023

Abstract: We are entering a decade of science and technology-driven change like never before in history. This is the 4th Industrial Revolution as espoused by the World Economic Forum (Davos), and an additional ten change waves that drive an intense and prolonged cycle of creative destruction. We will walk through what those are, why they matter, and where that is heading. We will scan history for applicable lessons. We will show how important leveraging all our national assets will be for us to compete effectively, including the critical role of the National Labs. Making the right choices and changes will ensure we are the right side of the creative destruction cycle.
