Several critical developments over the past two decades present India with national security and international diplomatic opportunities and challenges unlike anything it has faced before. China's ascendance as an international economic power and military adversary, the new relationship with the United States, the expansion of Pakistan's nuclear capabilities and the end of ISAF engagement in Afghanistan combine to challenge India's foreign policy and regional security. Dr. Neil Joeck will offer his thoughts on how these issues may impact India and the region, and what options are available for India in this transformed security environment.
