Cathy Benjamin serves as the Administrator for the Center for Global Security Research (CGSR) at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL). With more than 35 years of experience at LLNL, Cathy has built a distinguished career in administration, supporting a range of departments and initiatives. She began her tenure in the Travel department, where she operated the laboratory’s private plane to the Nevada test site, and later contributed to the fleet department. Cathy subsequently held administrative roles in Strategic Deterrence (SD), the National Security Office, and the Office of the CIO.
In her current position, Cathy works closely with management to oversee operations, staffing, and procedures for CGSR. She also serves as Administrator for the Office of Government Affairs (OGEA), providing vital support across both organizations.
