Terese “Tess” Schmidt is a Research Associate at the Center for Global Security Research at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL). Her research explores foreign policy and nuclear studies, with a particular interest in tactical weapons and deterrence.
She is currently a rising senior at the United States Air Force Academy, where she majors in Political Science with a focus on foreign policy and nuclear studies. She also minors in German and Sustainability through the Civil Engineering Department. Tess hopes to attend graduate school following her time at the Air Force Academy. She is passionate about international affairs, sustainability, and broadening her expertise in global security.
