Nicolas Wittstock

Nicolas Wittstock is a political economist and Postdoctoral Fellow in Technology and International Security at the UC Institute on Global Conflict and Cooperation (IGCC) based in Washington, DC. Nic’s research program focuses on the politics of technological change, especially in the context of renewable energy. His work is published or forthcoming in Cambridge University Press, Economic and Political Studies, South European Society and Politics, the Journal of Political Institutions and Political Economy, and Election Studies.

Nic earned his BA from the University of Mannheim, Germany, an MA from King’s College London, and his doctorate from the University of Washington. Nic was also a student fellow and trainee in the Clean Energy Institute at the University of Washington.
