Nenad Georgiev is a Research Assistant at the Center for Global Security Research (CGSR) at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. Nenad is collaborating with the Center on research examining cybersecurity and information security strategy, focusing on the capabilities of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies for cyber deterrence. Other areas of interest include privacy, data protection, and Internet governance.
In February 2019, he received an LL.M. in Information and Communication Technology Law from the University of Oslo in Norway where he concentrated on the regulatory challenges of emerging technologies, in particular blockchain technology. Prior to joining the CGSR, Nenad worked as a legal associate in North Macedonia in law enforcement. He graduated with a Bachelors in Jurisprudence from the University American College Skopje in 2012. He also holds an LL.M. in European Law from the University of Nottingham in the United Kingdom.
