Julie Beeston is a Graduate Student Research Intern at the Center for Global Security Research (CGSR) at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. Her research at CGSR supports the project on China and northeast Asian regional security, focusing on Chinese cyber and space policies.
Prior to CGSR, she received her MA in International Studies from North Carolina State University in 2017, where she specialized in International Laws and Organizations. During her graduate degree Julie’s research was funded through the Consortium for Nonproliferation Enabling Capabilities. She has a background in Chinese government and policy and received her BA in Asian Studies from Utah State University in 2011.
